Many things effect the way your machine performs. For example, be sure to use the suitable type for the material and job. Make sure the needle is in good condition and inserted properly. A good rule-of-thumb is “NEW JOB, NEW NEEDLE”. Good quality thread will help reduce sewing and service problems. Some problems may be solved simply by un-threading and re-threading, checking with your owner’s manual.
Dusting out your bobbin case or shuttle area and oiling (on machines that require oil) after each project will help ensure trouble free sewing.
